Summary: It is possible to achieve a fully electric and sustainable economy with the actions outlined in this article:

1) Strengthening existing networks with renewable resources

2) Switching to electric vehicles

3) Switching to heat pumps in residences, workplaces and industry

4) To carry out high temperature heat transfer and hydrogen production with electricity

5) Powering planes and ships with sustainable fuels

6) Producing a sustainable energy economy.

Modeling reveals that an electric, sustainable future is technically possible and would require less investment and less material extraction than continuing with today's unsustainable energy economy.
